"Anything that pleases you is art - you make the choice. You shouldn't be
ashamed to like or to not like - you should only be ashamed of not
understanding. There are no art movements - just a sensibility to the new
possibilities in art.", so says Marcel Salinas, master artist and
lithographer who once worked with Pablo Picasso. Together they
produced a collection of 29 editions of lithography during the years between
1969 and 1972. Each edition in the collection features the signatures of
both Salinas and Picasso - a testament to a true partnership.
Salinas' reputation as a printmaker grew while at the same time he was
becoming an important painter in Paris. His first love is painting which he
continues to this day in his residences in America and Belgium. His works
are collected by important institutions and connoisseurs of fine art
lithography worldwide.
